Today was the 25th anniversary of Run for the Roses a 5K race to support arthritis research. Even though I ran this race without a partner, I still had a great time, met a few new friends, finished at a respectable time of 30:14, and received a rose at the end of it all… and an omelette breakfast. The breakfast alone was worth it. Huge spread. So good.
But most importantly, the vibe of the participants was so enthusiastic and positive. Everyone was in great spirits and determined to support this very good cause.
You can consider me the newest fan of this 5K race. I plan to chase after another rose next fall.
